Article 1 – Definitions
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the terms used in these General Terms and Conditions for visitors have the meaning given below. Terms used in the singular include the plural and vice versa where the context requires.
1.1 General Visitor Terms: These General Visitor Terms apply to Festi Ummah at Festhalle Weisweiler.
1.2 Visitor: Any natural or legal person who visits or is associated with Festi Ummah in any way, directly or indirectly — for example as a visitor, exhibitor, staff member, supplier or in any other capacity.
1.3 Venue: All areas of Festhalle Weisweiler, including halls, rooms, foyers, entrances, corridors, stairs, parking areas and outdoor spaces.
1.4 Event: Festi Ummah, a trade fair and festival event organized by the Organizer at Festhalle Weisweiler.
1.5 Organizer: The person responsible for organizing and running Festi Ummah — Deniz Ormanci.
Article 2 – Applicability
2.1 These General Terms and Conditions apply to all visitors of Festi Ummah at Festhalle Weisweiler.
2.2 They also apply to all actions arising from or in connection with access to or participation in the Event.
2.3 The Organizer strives to ensure a safe, respectful and pleasant event for all visitors. Suggestions or improvements can be addressed to the Organizer at any time.
Article 3 – Ticket sales, offers and prices
3.1 All information, announcements and offers regarding the Event are non-binding. The Organizer assumes no liability for printing errors or changes.
3.2 Visitors must present their tickets and, where applicable, proof of any concessions on request to authorized staff of the Organizer or the venue.
3.3 No refund is given in the event of loss, theft or non-use of the ticket. This also applies if the Event is cancelled or postponed due to circumstances beyond the Organizer’s control.
3.4 Tickets remain the property of the Organizer. Only tickets purchased through official sales channels grant entry.
Article 4 – Conduct on the premises
4.1 Visitors must comply with public order, applicable law and the general rules of respectful conduct. Instructions from staff must be followed at all times.
4.2 The following, among others, are prohibited:
- Offering or selling goods or services without the Organizer’s permission;
- Bringing pets;
- Distributing flyers, promotional material or religious/cultural invitations;
- Bringing your own food and drinks unless expressly permitted;
- Carrying dangerous, prohibited or disruptive items;
- Smoking or using electronic cigarettes inside the premises.
4.3 The Organizer or security staff are entitled to carry out bag or person checks for security reasons. Refusal may result in denial of entry.
4.4 The use of professional recording or broadcasting equipment may be prohibited. Refusal to hand over such equipment may also result in denial of entry.
4.5 The Organizer reserves the right to make photo, audio or video recordings and to use these for documentation or promotional purposes. By entering the Event, the visitor consents to this.
Article 5 – Liability
- 5.1 Attending Festi Ummah is at the visitor’s own risk.
- 5.2 The Organizer, its legal representatives and vicarious agents are liable — regardless of the legal basis — only for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty.
Liability for simple negligence is excluded except where injury to life, body or health is concerned, or where essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties) are breached.
In such cases, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. - 5.3 Liability for damages caused by third parties (e.g. exhibitors, suppliers, visitors) or for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings, as well as for changes to the programme, opening hours or line-ups, is excluded.
- 5.4 The Organizer assumes no liability for disruptions, delays or cancellations caused by external circumstances beyond its control.
- 5.5 Force majeure (e.g. war, terrorism, natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, fire, official orders or extreme weather conditions) excludes any liability; in such cases there is no entitlement to refund or compensation.
- 5.6 The above limitations of liability also apply in favour of the Organizer’s legal representatives, staff and vicarious agents.
Article 6 – Complaints
6.1 Complaints must be submitted in writing and by registered mail to the Organizer no later than two (2) weeks after the end of the Event.
6.2 Later complaints cannot be considered.
